In February 2023, a routine chapel service at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky—a town with a population of approximately 6,000—sparked a spontaneous spiritual awakening. What began with a handful of students lingering in prayer transformed into a 16-day, 24/7 outpouring of worship, repentance, and community. Over 80,000 people from more than 200 universities and multiple countries visited the small town to experience what became known as the Asbury Revival.
This movement was characterized by its authenticity and lack of celebrity influence, resonating deeply with Generation Z and inspiring similar gatherings worldwide.

About Zach Meerkreebs
Zach Meerkreebs is a pastor, missionary, and author of Lower: Igniting Spiritual Awakening Through Radical Humility. On February 8, 2023, he delivered a sermon at Asbury University's chapel service, which he later described as "average." Unbeknownst to him, this message became the catalyst for a revival that drew tens of thousands and captured global attention.
